Privacy Policy

OneZine is operated by Petr Gardian, trading as OneZine (onezine.studio). This page explains what personal data we collect when you use our service, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it.

What we collect and why
- Email addressTo send you your preview link, order confirmation, dispatch notification, and subscription-related emails. Nothing else.
- PhotographsThe images you upload to create your zine. Used solely to generate your preview and print-ready files. We do not use your photographs for any other purpose, including marketing.
- Shipping address & phonePassed to Mixam (our print and fulfilment partner) to produce and deliver your order. Not used for any other purpose.
- Payment dataHandled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiry, or CVV.
- Order metadataOrder reference, plan type, quantity, region, and status. Kept to manage your order and, for subscription customers, to track remaining credits and renewal dates.
- Notes you writeThe opening and closing text you provide with your submission. Used to personalise your zine pages. Optionally polished by an AI writing tool before layout (see below).
Third parties we use
- StripePayment processing. Stripe stores your card details and billing address on their servers, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- MixamPrint and fulfilment. We pass your shipping address, phone number, and your print-ready PDF to Mixam to produce and dispatch your order.
- AWS S3Cloud storage for your uploaded photographs and your generated PDF files.
- AirtableOur order database. Stores your email, order status, and subscription details.
- TallyThe upload form. Processes your form submission and passes data to our system.
- CloudflareWebsite hosting and routing. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP addresses, timestamps) as part of normal infrastructure operation.
- ResendTransactional email delivery. Used to send your preview link, confirmation, and dispatch emails.
- Anthropic APIAn AI writing tool used to optionally polish the text notes you submit. Your notes are sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose and are not used to train AI models. You can choose to use your original words instead at the preview stage.
We do not sell your data to any third party, and none of the above third parties are permitted to use your data for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
- PhotographsPreview images are deleted 30 days after your order is dispatched. Print-ready files may be retained for up to 12 months from dispatch.
- Order recordsKept for 7 years in line with standard UK accounting requirements.
- Email addressRetained for as long as you have an active subscription or outstanding order. After that, kept for 12 months in case of queries, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of any inaccuracies, request deletion (where we are not legally required to retain it), and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email studio@onezine.studio. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) at uoou.cz. If you are based in another EU member state or in the UK, you may also contact your local supervisory authority.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our site uses only the cookies necessary to process your order (Stripe's payment session, Tally's form state). No tracking pixels, no third-party ad networks.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes affecting how we use your photographs or personal data, we will notify you by email if you have an active subscription.
